Disney park hopper how does it work

The Park Hopper allows ticket or annual pass holders to visit more than one Disney park per day. In order to take advantage of the new benefit, guests will have to plan in advance. The system requires that visitors make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park they plan on visiting. They must enter the park that they have a reservation for before they can visit another. At this time, reservations are not required to enter a second park, but that could change throughout the year, Disney explained in its announcement.

Once guests make a park pass and scan their ticket media at that park, they are able to park hop to another park. If the park that you wish to hop to is currently at capacity, the cast member at the bus terminal will let you know. According to cast members that I talked to today, an alert will also be posted in the My Disney Experience app if a park is at capacity. That special recording can be reached by calling I entered the park, and once I was ready to park hop, I left the park and headed toward the bus stops.

Along the walkway to the bus area, I reached a spot where a cast member asked if I had park hopping capability, which, as an annual passholder, I do. They directed me to continue to the bus stop for the park I wished to hop to. I decided to head over to Hollywood Studios to see how crowds were with guests park hopping for the afternoon.

I would normally take the Skyliner between the two, but I wanted to be able to check out the experience park hopping via the buses, so I stuck with that. Guests who purchased a ticket or annual pass with the Park Hopper benefits will be able to visit more than one park per day, with some new modifications as part of our ongoing focus on health and safety.

These modifications are designed to help us continue managing attendance in a way that fosters physical distancing. In the event that the Park Hopper option is unavailable at a theme park, Guests will be notified in real time via a push notification from the My Disney Experience app. From time to time, a virtual queue may be used for select attractions. Only Guests with a Disney Park Pass reservation for the applicable park and valid admission for the same park on the same date will be able to join the virtual queue to experience these attractions.

Guests visiting from another theme park using an Annual Pass or the Park Hopper option will not be able to join the virtual queue in a park where they do not have a Disney Park Pass reservation.

Learn more about virtual queues—including attractions where Guests may be required to join the virtual queue. Even as the Disney Cast Member guides you around our site, they will be unable to access or view any files or information on your device or anything you type.

Yup, that is correct that we only have afternoon-evening park hopping right now. The good news is that after PM, you can hop to any other Disney park you like, even if you want to hit all four as long as capacity allows—more on that shortly. While the afternoon start might feel limiting for some park hopping-veterans, this still makes for a very workable multi-park day as many guests used to choose to park hop around in the past anyways.
