In my country the uneployment rate is so high but I have never lacked a job, and it is not because I am aggressive or ambitious but I believe it is because I am his child.

I think money is one of the tests we have on earth, I hope that we will eventually discover the answer through being obedient to him and seeking his wisdom as described in the scriptures. Its ok to have stuff just give thanks to God. Joseph was faithful, and God delivered him to not only having currency, but power as well after his tribulation period of false accusations, slavery, and prison. Jesus was meek, but even he was a carpenter.

Money is not a problem but misuse and the love of it. It is this love of material things which leads to satanism where people want to leave lavishly now without caring for eternity.

In Philippians God never said He will supply our wants but our needs. Depending on our situations and social status our needs differ between individuals so your ability to distinguish what you really need and your wants goes a long way in governing your love for Christ. But the problem with paying so much attention to these types of things is that we lose sight of God and our true purpose for living, to serve Him. Clearing our minds of any financial worries truly allows us to focus on Jesus and what He can do for us not what we can do on our. Allowing God to take control only will strengthen our personal relationships with Him. Besides, He can certainly do more for us than we could ever imagine doing for ourselves.

As Christians, we are pilgrims on a journey on this earth and so we should store up treasures in heaven and one way of doing this is by helping others who are in need. I just realised that Luke is teaching us how to become Wealthy here now on Earth. It could be when you experience love for your family, a new baby, a new spouse, love for your friends or love for strangers. When you experience a moment of love you lay up treasures in heaven and Jesus said where your treasures are there will your heart be also.

The question I want us to ask ourselves is what are you doing to experience new things what are you doing to grow and to learn what are the commitments you have to experience your money with things?. Philosophers and theologians for hundreds of years have told us that you and I have been put here on this earth for two reasons; to grow in knowledge and to learn how to love.

I believe those two things go hand in hand I believe when you are growing you usually are also learning how to love and it will change your life. Third, I believe you and I need to be asking ourselves this summer are we spending our money to enrich our relationships and to make memories? I hope that this summer you will spend your money and time to enrich your relationships go to that wedding, go to that birthday celebration have a back yard barbeque and invite your friends go to the lake for the weekend go on a vacation and spend the money that makes it special where you have that memory.

It is so important to understand that a rich life is not an expensive lifestyle a rich life is where you are growing in love and your making memories. Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth not rust consume nor thieves can break in and steal for where your treasure is there will your heart be also.
